2018 Favourites ❤️

Happy New Year everyone!

We have been neglecting all of our socials these past couple of months but to be honest, we’ve also just been enjoying spending time with family during the festive period. We hope you all have had a great Christmas and ready for what this new year has in stall.

First post of the year just HAD to be a 2018 favourites consisting of mainly makeup but also a couple of skin care items that we tried out this year and have loved! Let’s get to it…

Revolution X Soph Extra Spice eyeshadow palette

ALLY: This has all the shades we need whether it be for a night out or just using it for certain areas like brows. It’s a really good travel palette and has been with me on holiday. It has a great mix of bright colours and also dark shades perfect for a smokey night look. We have done a review and a look using this palette so check that out if you are interested.

Juvia’s Place The Zulu eyeshadow palette

SARAH: This palette is so good that I cannot believe it took us so long to buy it! Juvia’s is always hyped up by the big influencers that I thought maybe that’s all that is – hype. So when we did buy it, I was excited to try it and see just how pigmented it is and if it lived up to all the hoo-hah. And it really did! The colours are as bright on the eye as it is on the pan. The shadows are huge that I can’t imagine us hitting pan any time soon despite us using it so much. img_0699

They are so smooth and the shimmers are incredible. Super creamy formula and really intense on the eye even without wetting the brush.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid – Vienna Tulip

ALLY: Perfect nude for me. It also has that mousse-like consistency which I find makes it more comfortable on as it doesn’t quite dry out my lips. The shade is a great everyday lip wear too. We have a few of these Body Shop lipsticks because we like them so much. We did do a wear test with another one we own so if you are interested check it out here.

Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer

SARAH: I don’t really use this as concealer as it is THICK – though if you want a high coverage concealer, this is the baby for you! I mainly use this as an eye primer/base before any eyeshadow. Especially if I want the look the last all day or to help the shadows be vibrant.img_0074

It also covers any veins or imperfections on the lid so any eye looks we post looks seamless!

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro HD Brow Pencil

ALLY: I love this brow pencil! I use this everyday and it’s honestly better than some high end/more expensive brow pencils I’ve used. It’s creamy and pigmented so you don’t have to be dragging it across your brows to get payoff. The end is super thin too so you can get a precise brow and create the individual brow hairs nicely.

Primark Ultimate Matte Foundation

SARAH: A great long wear foundation. I have oily/combination skin with dry patches and so far this is the only foundation I’ve found that works well with my skin. It’s matte without looking or feeling thick on. Often with matte foundations, they tend to cling onto any dry patches I have but this one doesn’t do that. It’s super affordable too.

Benefit Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel

ALLY: It fills out my brows nicely and keeps them tamed all day. It is by far my favourite Benefit brow product. The applicator is nice and small to keep it precise. I’ve tried other brow gels before of varying prices but I always come back to this as it just works so well.

Revolution X Soph Nude Lipstick in Fudge

SARAH: I know we already mentioned her eyeshadow palette in this but trust me when I say this is a good lipstick! I did do a wear test on this last year and it really impressed me – so much so that it now lives in my handbag for whenever I want it! It is a lovely colour, really flattering on me and my sister. This is more of a satin finish lipstick which makes it really comfortable on and lovely on my lips.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe Herbs And Rosewater

ALLY: This was such a huge trend (and still is) that I wanted to see what the big deal was.  And I don’t regret it one bit! It is really refreshing on the face. Whenever I have any redness or irritation on my face, I spritz this all over and it calms my skin down. I would definitely buy it again!

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 30ml

SARAH: Our mum got this for me for Christmas and I’ve been using it since. It is really good! I have super sensitive skin so trying this was quite scary for me as I didn’t want to have a crazy reaction – this has happened before with drugstore serums and my face was terrible for ages! This leaves my skin super smooth and it feels really smooth. It has eliminated all the tiny bumps on my forehead  and minimised the ones on my cheek. My face is just brighter looks a lot healthier in my opinion. It has also minimised the pores either side of my nose which is my problem area.

wet n wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

ALLY: We are so happy wetnwild is now available here in the UK – so much so that we soon snapped this highlight up! It is affordable, it’s blinding and best of all it works on both of us! I now understand why their highlights are always raved about!

That’s all for now lovelies! We hope you like our post and as always links are NOT affiliate links, we just put them there so you can find it if you are interested :). We’ll see you soon!
