Festive Makeup || Look

Hey all!

It is now the 12th of December and we STILL haven’t posted a festive makeup look – what is that about?! Well we have a couple over on our IG but we also want to share them with you guys here so here it is!

We really wanted to stick to the traditional red & green Christmas combo with a touch of gold just to be extra! We will break it down for you here:

Barry M Flawless Original Primer

Barry M Flawless Matte Finish Foundation in Nude 2 – we love using these primer and foundation together. Although they work just fine with other products, they work well together – as they should! We like this foundation because it doesn’t cling onto any dry patches and melts into the skin well.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair – a cult favourite. This never seems to let us down. Though it does dry QUICK so blend quickly and don’t dawdle.

Manna Kadar HD Perfecting Powder – we got this powder from a Birchbox a few months ago. It works really well and it doesn’t flash back which is great for a white setting powder. Makes the face look matte without it looking cakey.

Miss Sporty Instaglow Blush in 001 Luminous Beige – very subtle blush. It’s a very light peachy/pink colour. We like this because it’s a shimmer blush and although it’s not the most pigmented blush we own, it gives a nice glow on the face. Perfect for these winter days.

Sleek Face Contour Kit in Medium – again a classic. Pretty sure a lot of people started with this as their first contour kit. The contour shade is more on the warm side on both of us so we just used this all over the face but also used it very lightly to carve out the cheeks.

Makeup Obsession Highlight H109 Pop – We chose this highlight because it reflects green which ties in well with our red & green theme.

Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade in Graphite – we’ve been loving this brow product at the moment as the guidelines and then we fill the brows and soften it with the MUA Brow Kit.

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray

MUA Cosmetics Pro Brow Kit in Dark

Benefit Roller Lash

MUA Cosmetics Silent Disco Eyeshadow Palette – we only really used one colour in this palette mainly because the red shade in the Mint Chocolate palette is quite dark and we wanted a more bright red on the crease. After using Confession (from the MC palette) all over the lid, we used the red shade from this palette on the crease. Dipping back to Confession along the edge to create a smooth blend.

I Heart Makeup LDN Mint Chocolate Palette

We then deepened the outer third of the lid with Worlds Apart. Then we did a half cut crease again setting it in place with Confession. Then starting from the inner corner, we used Disturbance and stopped before the centre of the lid. We then used Rivals (which is a pretty light green with gold reflects) in the centre and blending that with Disturbance and Worlds Apart.

Collection Glam Crystals in Funk 3 – Little bit of this along the crease just for some extra glitter and make everything look neater.

New Look Lip Liner 69 – FYI, this link is not for this exact product. We use the old Pure Colour range that they used to have but this link is the closest shade that they carry. Of course you don’t have to use this exact one, any bright red lip liner would work also.

Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls – This shade is just perfect to finish this look off! Super bright, super red & super festive!

We hope you like this look. We know this is much more in depth than any of other blog posts but we just feel like maybe we should start adding more detail ie what shadows we used etc just in case any of you want to recreate it too. Let us know if you like this new setup.

Anyway hope you all have a great rest of the day and til next time!
